Can we talk for a minute about how awesome this year has been? Jersey and I got engaged, he moved to Atlanta, we then moved to a different apartment, while planning our wedding. There have been many a work trip for both of us, along with many bumps in the road, but we’ve gotten through all of them. And now, we are married. Husband and wife. Crazy lovebirds, clearly still in our “honeymoon phase”… seriously, my friends may want to stay away from our infectious PDA. Sorry we’re not sorry.
It’s been a truly wild 365 days and it’s making me take a look at my Life List 2014 Goals. What are these? Well, I have a Mighty Peach Life List of things I want to accomplish while I’m living my life, my way. And every year, I make a list of the Top Five items that I think I can achieve within that year… and I set out to tackle them. That card you see up there is tucked away in my wallet, with me at all times. Let’s look at how I did this year.
Marry my person. Yep. Done.
Fix SnaggleTooth. 90% done with Invisalign, just a little more to go!
Visit Savannah. Yes, and it was AMAZING.
Run another half marathon. Yurrp, check and check.
Buy our home. Wellllllll, with the moves and the wedding, we’ve been a *bit* busy this year. But we have finally started the wheels turning on this one. It’s unlikely we’ll actually buy anything before January 1st but it’s a definite for 2015, though!!!
In addition to these four out of my five, I also managed to complete three other Life List items in 2014!
- “Singing Miranda Lambert’s Kerosene at karaoke” and “Know what caviar tastes like” were done in awesome fashion on my Wedding Shower/Bachelorette Weekend. The fact that I was doing them that weekend was a complete surprise, handled and arranged by my awesome ‘Maids. BOOM.
Finally, I have to tell you about the one I got to do on our honeymoon.
- ZIPLINING. Or in Costa Rica, they call it “CANOPY”.
And it. was. amazing. I can’t thank my husband enough for being willing to join me and taking care of all the arrangements. Not only did he book the Canopy, but added onto the fun: a water slide down a mountain, horseback riding, mud baths and hot springs. It was an amazing day! I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. Enjoy!
Can’t even begin to tell you how much fun that was. SO GLAD I did it!!! And now, after all that fun I had in 2014, it’s time to start planning what my 2015 Top Five picks are. Wheeeeee!
What were your 2014 goals? Did you hit them? What are you aiming to achieve in 2015??
