It’s almost the weekend and I’m doing a happy dance in my desk chair. No, I don’t have a rash. Ew. I’m all excited, you guys.
I’m going to Savannah this weekend!!! Just me, my fiance and a romantic, relaxing exploration of a dreamy city I’ve never managed to visit UNTIL NOW. And to up the cool factor even more, this visit will also check off #81 on my Mighty Peach Life List, yay!
I wrote all about it over at The Broke-Ass Bride today, so please head on over and be all daydream-y with me!
When you come back from reading, I wanted to tell you lovelies to please bear with me. In the last 14 days, I’ve run a 10K, hosted a family gathering for July 4th, gone to NJ and back for work and visited the parents in Mississippi. Returned home at 1am on Sunday, sent Jersey off to work Monday morning and it’s been a grind of a week with recovery and still managing to be productive with my job. Yes, I do acknowledge the irony that we are taking yet ANOTHER trip this weekend, but thankfully it is for purely selfish reasons. I’m super glad that we had the forethought to decide to take a trip a few months out from the wedding. But the person who made it possible was Nette. Love you SO HARD, girl. (Go read at BAB for more details!)
In other news, the wedding is 94 days away. Hooo–leeeee—-batshit. Without showing you my 8-page to-do list, the update is that we are on track (sort of) with all the planning. A few key things are being seriously delayed due to our insane travel schedules. It’s kind of impossible to do his final suit fitting and get fabric swatches, so that he can give to his groomsmen to get their suits NBD, OR HAI, schedule our engagement photo shoot with our photographer… when our weekend availability is laughably scarce. But you learn to go with it (OR TRY TO) and trust that all will be okay in the end. Can you tell I need this getaway?!?! And I’ll admit, it was kind of fun planning out our wedding day playlist together while we roadtripped it 7 hours home from Mississippi. Sorry, honey. I haven’t changed my mind about not using “Salt n Pepa’s Push It” as our announcement song at the reception. Because, seriously.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. Love and smooshy hugs.
Till next time,
