I’m Guest Blogging!

Happy Monday, everyone!  I have a special treat for you this week. More accurately, I want you to meet someone.

Her name is Mindy from Pixie Dust Bride. I met her at Camp Mighty 2012 and was instantly charmed by her. But it wasn’t until reading her recap blog post afterward that I realized we went through very similar up and down feelings at Camp. Tis the beauty of blogging – it allows you a deeper look into people and makes it comfortable to connect over shared humor, stories or experiences. Since realizing that she’s my type of people a year ago, we’ve been buds on the various social media outlets. And this past week she and I put our heads together and decided to swap blog posts for a day!

For her amazing wedding blog, I wrote a little something about choosing your wedding venue. Here’s a teaser intro for you:

I am supposed to be on a self-imposed wedding hiatus. Two days of not thinking about mermaid vs. sheath, reading BRIDES magazine, poring through Pinterest wedding pages, talking about poof and tulle or watching my 90+ DVR’ed episodes of Say Yes To The Dress. So what am I doing here, writing about my search for a venue? Good question. …..

To read more and get my venue search updates, click over to Mindy’s site, say hi to her and leave her some love. Because she’s pretty awesome.

Thank you for opening your bloggy home to me, Mindy! I can’t wait to host a blog post for you soon. xox

  1. We had a guest list of 425…. large, large Mexican family, who do not RSVP and bring their ENTIRE families!! It was crazy! We ended up getting married on the Navy Submarine base, it was affordable, no tax on base and right on the water. Even though I have no regrets, our wedding was so much fun, looking back, I wish we would have had a small intimate reception, really, no one needs all the food, etc……. Enjoy it though, take a lot of deep breaths…

  2. God, yes. The venue. Ask me sometime to tell you the story of the amazing art gallery where I desperately wanted to get married, but where I definitely did NOT get married.
